Find-it will find any file, easy, comfortable and fast., The tool is specialised to perform fast full text retrieval, allowing logical combination of phrases. Find-it is able to scan almost any type of file, even if it is packed within a Zip, Cab or e-mail attachements. Combined with an additional freeware tool even PDF files will be scanned for their content. Find-it is able to scan for files anywhere on your computer, on multiple hard drives even anywhere in your network.

Full text retrieval will be performed without prior indexing, even in PDF-Files packed within a ZIP attached to an e-mail.

Find-it is shareware you can try before you buy. If you decide to license it: One single user license does cost only 39 US$ or 29 Euro.

Setup As soon as you press the download-button you will be asked where you want to save the downladed file 'Findit40Setup.exe' Any folder will do. After the download just start the program. The setup routine will ask you where to install the program. Depending on the windows-version you are using it will propose to use x:\programs\Find-it or x:\programs(x86)\Find-it. You may choose any other folder as well. Depending on the Version of Windows you are using you might need to be logged in as system-administrator.

Attention: To perform full text retrieval of PDF files an additional freeware utility has to be installed on your computer. It is not part of this setup routine. You will find a link and instructions for the download when you start Find-it and use the menu 'options - pdftotext' and inside the helpfile of FIND-IT. The process of integrating pdftotext into FIND-ITs functionality is very easy.

Any license for any version since 4.0 is valid for any new version since then. If you already have purchased a german version of FIND-IT 4.x you may download and use the Update without any limitation. Owners of older licenses may order a new license key for the update-fee of 15 Euro.

Suggestions for any improvement of FIND-IT are highly welcome. Especially improvements of the english translation and user interface. We tender a free license to anybody who is reporting a serious reproducible bug or hint on major foults of the translation.
